for ac delete on my 84 z28 the fan and motor are different sizes and you must change them both. I hope this helps. I went to parts america for the fan and back out to pep boys for the motor.

thanx lo-tec, that is for the non a/c hampster wheel right?
and 84Z...the motors are in fact different but are interchangable. if you go with the a/c motor though you get another fan setting, HIGH. the standard heater motors dont have that high speed.

The motor has nothing to do with fan speed. The non-a/c resistor has 3 speeds, the a/c resistor has 4 speeds. I would put the resistor from your a/c setup into the delete box, then there's no need to cut and splice wires going to it and the stock heater control head will also work. I did this and works great. If you do a search, I think you can change the lens cover on your control head to a non-a/c one without changing the unit.
