electric water pump mounting brackets?

I have done a search on this topic and did not find the info I was looking for. I know a lot of people have asked this question and I am hoping this post will finally answer it.

I have a 1991 formula with the serpentine system. I have already ditched the smog pump and am going to get rid of the A/C this winter. I want to run an eletric water pump, alternator and ps pump only. The question is what do I need and which brackets/belts make it all work?

I am talking regularly available stuff, not March with their $500 setup.

I found these pics on this site of what I am trying to accomplish.

Thanks!

The powersteering bracket is a stock v belt bracket. You can buy the alt. bracket from summit. its like 70 bucks??? Not to totally sure. Then get some v belt pullies from a bone yard and your set. I have all aluminum ones on my car and I like that but if budget is what your looking for go junk yard shopping.

Question about stock water pump, because I want to switch to elec. water pump too: how man GPH does the stock pump on a 305 TPI pump? And if I get one that pumps more per hour, is it bad or do I need to match GPH with the elec. pump?

Well I am not sure on the rate that a stock pump puts out but it varies with engine speed. Lets say you have an electric water pump that flows 80 gallons per hour. And your stock pump flows from 20 gallons per hour to 130 gallons per hour. Your stock pump can out flow the electric depending on engine speed. Does that make sense. I know those figures are off but you get my point.

I think there was a debate in an earlier thread about this. At freeway speed with about 2600 rpm's or more the mechanical pump moved more water. I cant remember. You can try searching it.

But even at haghway speeds the electric pump still did the job?

Hey Fastbird, I don't know if you've found what you need but alan grove has nice, inexpensive brackets for what you wanna do.
