Manual Fan switch...anyone help??
On the relay, Green wire with white tracer from what ive read is ground, and the tan one or brown is the power/turn on lead. Can someone explain step by step what needs to be done to be able to wire in a manual fan switch and still retain the factory relay and all of its workings. In other words be able to turn the fan on and off when i want to with a switch, but also be able to have the switch be off and still have the factory settings to be in effect. I just dont want to blow anything on the ecm and all. Thanks guys.

What that green/white wire does is...provide ground to the relay.
So....that being said ,,,,all you have to do is use a splice connector on that wire, run it to a switch, run the other side of the switch to ground and when you throw the switch the fan will come on. With it off everything is back to normal.

Ditto, I just did it to mine yesterday and it works fine.I did use a switch with an LED on it so it would illuminate when on...
The install with NO LED is very easy, but a bit trickier with an LED.
The problem is, all the switches i found at the parts stores had the LED tied to ground and switched 12v+.
We need the opposite, 12v+ on the LED and swithing ground (since we are grounding the relay)
All i did was remove the LED, reverse polarity and soldier it back in.
Then find a HOT in Run lead to power the LED..

If you splice into the green/white wire and connect it to ground, it will only turn one fan on, correct? This is what I did and only one fan came on - I think you have to run another switch and ground one of the wires in the other fan relay if you want the other fan to come on too.

By grounding the green wire with white strip, will the fan run with the key switch off?
I want to be able to run the fan with the key switch off.

Well, on singe fan setups the green with white stripe wire is the one you have to T to in order to still keep factory settings.
However, on the dual fan set up only the primary fan works the same way. Splicing into green with white stripe wire on the second relay for the second fan will not turn the fan on if grounded.
So, I am kinda searching around to see which wire needs to be T'ed into on the second fan realy to activate the fan.

You will have to wire up the tan wire straight to constant power source, like the battery, and then run a switch spliced into the green wire to ground.

One wire to each green on each relay to a switch for each fan.
