Water Pump

Would a heavy duty water pump help me out? I bought it at autozone for like 65 bucks or something, for a 91 Z28 5.0L.

If you don't have a problem with your existing water pump, then no.

Do you know where a flushing kit may be? I used to know where to get them but I had my computer wiped clean and lost the URL to it. Let me know...thanks.

Re: Water Pump

The heavy duty water pumps have a beefed up bearing and seal. It won't cool your engine any better but it will last longer. I bought one at autozone a while back, it'll have an 'HD' at the end of the part number if it is an actual heavy duty.
