a/c compressor -to remove or not?
I have removed all of my a/c system on my 92 5.7 camaro, but left the compressor.
Will I need to replace with a pulley ,/a/c delete pulley ,or can I leave the compressor on the auxillary belt drive? Will it seize up?

You can leave it on there it will be fine. The only reason to remove it,is if you want to clean up the engine bay.

Hi,
Funnily I noticed a sticker near the headlight on my 91 V6 Firebird that showed the belt path needed with and without the A/C compressor, if that helps you?

remove it, and get the delete pulley off ebay for liek 20 bux... relocate yoru battery to the hatch too, just those 2 mods alone will help your traction significantly

if it still worked and you may want it in the future or to sell it, remove it. With it open to air and moisture, the hot/cold it will be exposed to continuously (from the engine) will not make it fair well.

Remove it and get the ac delete pully. Smart move on deleting the ac, less weight, less clutter (most importantly more hand room!!) and frees up some hp.

I am trying to get my a.c. compressor off of my car but there are 3 bolts behind it that I can't get off with any of my sockets/wrenches.
It seems like a 5/8 socket would do the trick but either that doesn't fit or the socket isn't grasping ahold of the bolt's head for me to turn it.
Does anyone know the correct size or another way to get these bolts off so I can install my a.c. delete pulley?
I've tried all of the sizes just for craps and giggles and nothing worked so far.
Thanks.
