thought i’d pass this on. sent my pump off to Flying Dutchman water pump rebuilder in Oregon. it had started leaking on me after i took it off when i was doing valve seals. i put it in sand blaster but even covered some material got in. i hoped for the best but no luck so sent it off


after it came back.

painted with some W30A-848 / 30% gloss. ready for install.

Here on the east coast we have Arthur Gould Rebuilders, I’ve had pumps rebuilt there. Fair price and quick turn around. Good to see you rebuilt the original pump to the car!

 

Why am I afraid to ask what it cost?

I've got two of the serpentine pumps without the extra port in the top, set aside for when I get around to having them refurbed. Haven't gotten around to making it a priority, too many other projects in the queue.

 

lets say, if you buy a decent press, it would pay for itself in two pumps.

 

I did a big block Dodge 440 pump two months ago and it was $125 shipped back to me. My shipping up to MA was ~$12. I had it back the same week.
