165 ECU file
Anyone have a properly working 165 ECU file? I've been poking around and found a couple (mainly linked off of Mike D's site), but found that they're just not right. I tried them on the bins that I pulled out of my stock '87 Formula 350/A4/3.23 chip, ABWT (BTW, I didn't see that one on any of the archives online… are any of you interested?), hypertech "stage II" for the same car, as well as some '89 bins and the ecu files that I've found for the 165 show some very weird values (lots of negative values for temperatures, RPM numbers that make no sense, the timing tables look to be almost random…).
Anyone have one that they know is good that you care to share? (If it makes a difference I'm mostly playing with TunerPro)

IIRC I recently saw an ECU for the '165 on Mansur's site. Can't recall which mask though. In his downloads section.

I am not exactly sure what the MaskID is, however, I have a 165 ecm as well and I have burned chips using the 32, 32B and 6E definition files. I have been sticking with the 32B bin because it has given me the best results to date. I would love to have the highway spark mode table from the 6E code added to the 32B code and then it would be perfect! So, any of these bins will work with your ecm.

You know, I still haven't found anything besides the .ecu $6E mask. The $6E appears to match the '89 tpi bins that I've downloaded, but my '87 bins (that I've read of the couple of chips I've got sitting around here) are comming up with $32
Neil, if you've got them do you mind sharing them? You could just email them if you want.

I have an unmodified $6E ARAP bin that I can send you. Other than that, my $32b has been greatly modified from stock. What has been done to your engine setup, cam, heads, etc..?

The bins are not the problem, but the ecu files are. I’ve found a few $32 and $32b ecus that don’t appear to be right at all (they don’t even return the mask correctly, where reading an ’87 bin with a $E6 bin at least returns a $32 as a mask).
83 Crossfire, can you get '165 ecu , type 32,
to work with any prom image thats internet available?
.
Its hard to learn this stuff when nothing adds up.
(using tunerpro)
.
If anyone responds, please be very specific, where you
get the files., something like this would be nice, thanks...
the xxxxxx.ecu file ($32) ,
works with the
ayyyyy.bin prom image file.
