Ecm mod for stealth ram and vortec heads

Im sure this has been talked about before but I couldnt find it. Does anyone know what modifications I should do to the ecm when putting on a stealth ram intake and vortec heads?? I apologize if this has already been discussed.

For best results some tuning should be done. A lot of this depends upon whether your setup is MAF or SD. With SD being a little more sensitive to induction changes. This really isn't considered ECM modifications, more along the lines of DIY PROM or chip tuning.

The 'chip' (EPROM) contains the calibration data. That is what will need to be changed.

ok, well Ill be swapping out a 305 for a 350 and I know what mods im doing to the motor. I dont plan on changing anything anything, so I dont see the point in buying a programmer and the software and learning how to do all that stuff. Is there a place I can buy a chip or send mine? I cant find anything.

How many times have I heard " I am only going to change X or Y" on my car? A lot. The cost to buy a new chip or send yours off would be at least $100 from any one or company. For that money you could easily buy a chip burnerand ALDL cable for burning and datalogging. You can even download WinALDL and TunerPro for free. Where is the high cost in that again?

Im not concerned about the money, Its just that its my daily driver and I dont want it to run like crap until I learn how to properly burn the chip. Someone must have the same mods I do and have a new chip done. But if someone has some guidelines for my common combination of parts I would burn my own.

It has been talked about in previous posts that you can search for, or go to www.stealthram.com for more info. It mainly involves fattening up the low MAP and righ RPM areas and subtracting fuel around idle and low areas. You will have to change PE and other such.
