ALDL help

When you place a wire in the a and b slots of the aldl to check for codes. What does it mean if the light keeps repeating 12 over and over again? I know that it is supposed to flash three times but mine keeps flashing over and over. I think that this topic was posted some time back and if it was please refer me to it.

Everything is OK. AFAIK the ECM will keep flashing the codes out as long as A & B are shorted and the ignition is on (engine off). Not sure where the 3 times came from but I've also heard that. Maybe it is with CCC setups.

RBob.

Three times is what the repair manual says that it will flash 12 three times.

If there is a code stored it goes three times then the code, if no code stored it repeats.
