Ford VS GM injectors??
Ford VS GM injectors??
Hope this is a relevant question to this particular forum. Have a 89 truck puting down 250 hp at the rear wheels and soon will be rebuilding a slightly warmer engine for it. Currently using Ford yellowtops which are 19pph which I think is around 22pph at 45psi and work quite well. I was thinking of using the 24pph bluetops for the next engine which may be overkill but I already have them but haven't sent them out to be cleaned and flowed yet. The question is- the Bosch/Ford injectors are pretty good and likely better than GM put in the 90's, I'm wondering if a set of LS1 takeoffs would be a clear upgrade being a newer generation and if so- are they a direct bolt in for TPI rails and harness.

I don't have a specific answer but I do know that the electrical plugs are different on some of the new injectors. You might be able to determine an answer by looking at injector specs. Try fiveomotorsport.com.
I have also read that some of the newer disigns have a better spray pattern, can't confirm that personally though. What I wonder is if you dyno tested the injectors is there a measureable difference? I'm guessing that it wouldn't register a difference on the dyno.
Good luck

No, the LS1 injectors are too short, they are about 0.12" shorter than the GM factory injectors. Use the Ford Racing injectors. If you got a 305, then run the 19s with an AFPR.
Not that I know anything, but everything I have read says the blue tops are underrated. Just got a set myself for a completely different project, but I can let you know how they work pretty soon. The only problem is I'm going to run out of injector at 225hp on my v6, so will be searching for some larger ones soon...
