Should I Megasquirt or ECM Swap?
As of right now, I have a completely stock 5.7 TPI engine in my 1987 IROC-Z. My MAF randomly throws codes and then the code goes away. I've been thinking of doing a speed density ecm swap just to get rid of the MAF. I do plan on adding a turbo either late this year or early next year. I want to do my own tuning and want to use a wide-band O2 and would love to try tuning my own car. So I am asking for help on deciding what I need to do next? Again, I will be running a stock TPI setup for a while.
1. Go with a Megasquirt. If so, which model and what extras to get.
2. Do the 90-92 Speed Density ECM Swap (I've found the thread on that) and practice burning PROM
Again, I would like to get rid of the MAF and possibly practice tuning a stock car before going the Boosted route.
Any help is appreciated, and Thanks in Advance

Yup the EBL would be great for that car. Only reason to go prom burning equiptment instead is if you were going to do more than one car. If so check out Moates website.

You could also wait a few months and buy Haltech's new Sport G.M. ecm...
It's a 2 wire swap to install and has aux inputs and outputs for Wideband egt etc.

If you understood how much better the EBL is for your application, you wouldn't even consider mega-squirt.
