Where to get 16144288 M/T ECM

Hey guys,

I want to swap a 1228062 with a 16144288 ECM. I need the 4288 tuned with a M/T, 4.3 TBI, $A0.... I want this ECM because it is a direct swap with the 8062, and features a better tune with a larger pumpshot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can find that exact tune from a 91-92 S/T turck or 90-93 C/K 1500 truck with a manual... right??

BCC AULS is a '92 4.3l, 5-spd calibration. But if you are doing DIY tuning, why the need to swap, just increase the AE tables in the current ECM.

Moved to DFI & ECM, not a DIY thread.

I don't have enough cash right now for moates DIY stuff, as I just ordered comp magnum rollers and a NOS TBI kit... which is why I just wanted a plug and play.

Is the AULS the only BCC for M/T?? There are lots of 4288's around town, but most are for A/T. Does the BCC need to be for a M/T???

Probably not, I just had that BCC handy.

Not for a manual, with an auto the TCC lockup or TH400 kick down is important. So need the proper auto cal when using an auto.

So you are saying since I have a M/T, I can use the A/T BCC with no problem... right??

Yes, since it is an ECM it will only handle the TCC or kick down of an auto. The only area that may be an issue is crank to run and possibly idle. This is due to the difference in mass between a torque converter and a flywheel/clutch set up.
