Bought an 89 iroc Camaro with a 383. Wasnt running but after replacing the fuel pump its acting crazy. Rpm reading way off and tuner pro showing all kinds of errors in and off. Seems like there is a ecu problem. Pulled the ecu amd this chip looks wierd.
If check engine light is rapidly flashing I’d suspect prom on piggyback being bad.
what errors are you getting ?
they are not clear when my buddy looked through tuner pro, they were turning on and off and it was connecting and disconnecting. When I used a paper clip ot didnt give me anything but code 12. When it does run ces just stays on.
The memcal that can be used could be from 86-89 tpi maf 305 or 350 same limp home and cylinder select chips. Bit if it’s the piggyback chip will need a custom tune to get running properly. I would start with the error codes and diagnose.

not sure what you mean, I want to pull the tune off the prom and redo it all with a non butchered memcal. The way the ecu wont stay connected to tuner pro makes me think the memcal is possibly bad.
To do that you will need a uv eraser and programmer like a pocket programmer.
my buddy has all the prom stuff. He was just not familiar with what they did to the memcal. He programmed my last fbody. Sorry I'm still new to all this tuning stuff.
