I HAVE A 88 FIREBIRD FORMULA 305 TBI AND I AM HAVING FUEL PUMP ISSUES I HAVE CHECKED THE GREEN WIRE ON FUEL PUMP RELAY NO POWER TO THAT LINE, THE 20 AMP FUSE NEXT TO BATTERY IS GOOD...BUT I STILL HAVE NOT SIGNAL TO FULL PUMP...HOW DO U CHECK THE ECM TO SEE IF ITS DAMAGED....

 

I think the fuel pump relay is also controlled by an oil pressure switch. May want to check that first.

It is common for the transistor that drives the fuel pump relay to go out on the TBI ECMs. it is also easy to replace with the easily available PN2907 transistor.

i do have power going into the ecm but nothing coming out to the rest of car......what could this issue be a bad ecm

 

If you have no power to anything else, this would stop the car from starting

but i am getting power to everything, else just not getting power to the fuel pump wiring from the fuel box ..all of the fuses are good my ecm is getting power ..but still not getting power to the green/white on the relay...but i can jump the relay with a paper clip and the fuel pump turns on.....what would cause this...
