Requesting advice from TBI dudes

My setup is posted below.

My problem is when I accelerate at WOT, my car falls on its face and stutters a little above 3800 RPM. When I accelerate through 5000 rpm at 3/4 trottle, it goes fine.

I zeroed out my PE Spark Advance table, and I get this on ALDL:

RPM TPS INT O2 Knock BLM IAT
1475 3.6 128 0.871 10 128 85.1
2050 19.5 130 0.013 10 128 85.1
3800 97.7 128 0.575 11 128 85.1
5150 -1.2 128 0.831 11 124 85.1

Setup:
Rebuilt L05 350 from 92 Caprice - stock heads
Holley 502-6 670 TBI unit
Edelbrock TBI intake ported out to 2 in.
96 LT1 cam
Shorty headers
14x3 open element
Rebuilt T5 manual Transmission w/Brute Force clutch

Thanks!!

Is this with a 42 Mask?.
If it fails the knock sensor test then no PE.
There is a patch at DIY-EFI.ORG to cure it.

Too much or too little spark. Are you getting an SES light?

Grumpy:

Sorry, I am a little new to this. It is an 8746 ecm, how do I find the mask for it?

JPrevost:

I am not getting an SES light. My min count knock retard is set for 2, and my max SA is set at 43.

Thanks guys!

Then you're probably just getting run away knock. Upload your bin file and i'll take a look at it. I'll also show you how to output your final SA through the aldl so it can be read by any scanning tool. I had a similar problem that I couldn't locate and it ended up being a spark bias value! Ask RBob about that... it wasn't fun.
Also if you're using the stock ANLU bin, change the vol eff table. For some odd reason it thinks that at 80kpa your motor needs more fuel than at 100kpa (wot). That is never the case or so I have never seen it to be. It must have been used to through off the actual AFR, kind of patch around a patch.

Sorry it took so long

Hey, sorry it took so long to post this. We have had a helluva week at work, lost a controller for the SAN and in the middle of a re-org to our image database.

Anyway, I uploaded to bin file to my webpage at:

http://mywpages.comcast.net/tsharp/Knock6.bin

Just right click and save as.

THANKS!

Also, I am using GMECMEdit to make my changes with instead of TunerCat. Would that be a problem?

OK, guess not.

Anybody want to buy a Holley 502-6 670 TBI with an Edelbrock TBI intake that was ported to 2 in for the Holley as well as wiring harness, 2 ecm's, Craig Moates adapter, pp2 programmer, and distributor?
