chip compatibility

the chip out of my truck is:
014
67633
AA9226B
Are the 27C256 chips compatible or am I burning the chips wrong? The truck will run, but no first gear or o/d, and taking the chip out has little effect on it.
edit-its in a 93 chevy truck with a 4l60e

Are you sure it uses a 256?, some of the later stuff uses 512'ers.
What PCM/ Mask are you running?.

That would be a 512'er.

I have. I forget the one you have to select thou, I think it's mentioned on Moates site which chip setting to use. If it's not report here, and I'll get over to the laptop and look it up.

*Should be*, to date I've never run into speed being a problem.

When in doubt, use the fastest (lowest nS) chip. HTH
