7749 with 42lb/hr ford green top injectors, BPC vs. EGR not enough
Hi guys, me again.
I have again set the bpc vs. egr to .071 in promgrammer to try and get this thing anywhere near driveable, and still no go. I'm just about to ditch these 42lb/hr injectors, and go with the 30lb/hr injectors this code was already written for, and hopefully be a lot closer in tune, but I really don't want to do that.
Has anyone else got their car running with the $58 code and 42 lb/hr injectors? I did change the accel enrichment down to 300 across the board, but still doesn't help.

However, I've run 60 PPH injectors on my 231 V6 with the 58 code just fine.

I've read through every single bit of information I could find and got a few good tips.
Set Bpc vs egr to .071 to start with.
Decrease accel enrichment vs tps to 300 across the board? to lessen the fuel given to the motor when accelerating.
Set vss, cyl select, etc.. to get it to run correctly.
I'm just wondering if theres anything else I should change to get a rough tune with these? Since i've read multiple people getting their 749 conversion to run pretty close to great with no tuning other then changing vss, and cyl select to 8 with 30 lb/hr injectors.
I'm new to all this still, just really don't know what else to do.
Also, does the $60 code address fudging the bpc vs. egr table to get different sized injectors to work? Thanks grumpy.

Stock 305, stock timing for the 305, and left setup with what it is in the $58 code which i cannot recall at this moment in time.

I sent you a e-mail w/ calculator for bpw vs egr
I can't recall right now who gave it to me but, I know some one here will I think (not sure) you need to (/) the final number by 12? I think (can't find my notes right off hand) and use that for you input if you do a search there is a post along time ago which tells you how to get the number with out using the nice premade calculator but, using the actual formula and your own calculator.
now IF i am right you need to use .067 for a 305 w/42# injectors but!!!! don't blow you 305 up because I took a GUESS!

How did you get .071 for bpc vs. egr? That seems too high for your combo. I calculate more like .058/.059.
From the "$58 Frequently Asked Questions" thread:
The correct formula is: BPC = 730.75 * (vol of 1 cyl / inj flow in gms per sec)
Using that formula, I come up with 85.8. In Promgrammer lingo that's .059. I think your bpc is set for a much smaller injector.

.058? I will try tomorrow sometime during the day, and see what happens. Thanks for the post, I have read differing views on how the bpc vs egr is calculated, and I'm not sure that I have tried that low of a setting.

WOW, I didn't think ressurecting a 5yr old thread was possible, BUT I have. What's the 730.75 variable represent in the BPC formula being shown?
