8625 no datalogging!
I have recently completed the 747 to 8625 swap using the schematics from this thread. https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=272975
The adaptor is working, the car is running, i get no ses light and no error codes.
Both tunerpro and datamaster says: aldl cable is working but the pcm is not connected.
I´m using a two transistor cable and an USB/seriell adaptor.
WHat's wrong!

The USB to serial adapter is the problem. I tried 3 different adapters and 100's of different settings and could never get one to work. I even tried a PCIMCIA to serial card that didn't work either. I finally gave up and bought a moates USB data logging cable, it works, but I still have a lot of problems with that and datamaster.

The low speed 160 baud is easy enough to get working with any USB-serial adapter.
However, the 8192 requires a 'non-standard' baud rate and as such, most serial usb adapters won't work.

I have successfully connected to this PCM with a moates USB ALDL cable, and a Mastach 9pin serial type. I have tried 3 different usb-9pin adaptors without any luck..

Another vote for Craig's unit..........it works as promised every time.
I have used it with the 8746 tbi /winaldl and the faster 8625/Datamaster.
