scannerpro

I have been messing with ScannerPro for a couple of days now and it looks awesome (the histograms look especially useful ).
I've been looking everywhere for some sample datalogs but haven't found anything. Anybody know of any samples out there (I don't think this qualifies as "PROM begging") $42 $8D or $0D ?

Thanks

Re: scannerpro

I wish I could get SP to work with my ECM...likes to disconnect randomly. I wonder if Mangus intends to do anything more with it. I think he said he was pretty busy. Even if I could get it working, don't want to get too involved as things might change (definition file format to name one thing). Anyhow, ya the histogram capability is what I really want. I was thinking of writing my own program to do this, but as soon as I get the time into something like that SP will probably have an official release, thus wasting my time

Sorry I didn't really answer your question, just keeping the thread going and hoping that a post about SP might generate some more interest in it.

Re: scannerpro

I kinda expect he will either finish it later, or incorporate it into a future version of tunerpro. And I am excited about the histogram charts as well.
As I currently dont have anything running that I can use it on I was hoping to make some dashboards and become familiar with some of the more advanced features that this program makes possible.

Re: scannerpro

I've been using it to tune my car since the beginning of the year with a SAUJP chip. There is no turning back for me. I have a spreadsheet that automatically takes my VE's and tunes them. What would take me all night is now an hour or two. Mangus is working on incorporating this into the next Tunerpro release but there was no timeframe. I suspect that he will spring it on the community when he is ready without much advance notice.

Re: scannerpro

I'm actively working on it. In fact, I just built a definition for the 94/95 LT1s that seems to be working nicely. I'm in Baton Rouge as I type this with access to all kinds of test vehicles. Progress is being made. ScannerPro will be integrated into TunerPro v5, but for now I'm just focusing on getting ScannerPro into an official release. I'm trying not to let myself go hog wild with feature creep. :-)

Mark,

I am still fighting connectivity problems with my 1995 TBI 8192 baud PCM as well. It runs anywhere from 20-180 seconds when connected through my AutoProm before disconnecting itself.

I've heard of a few similar issues, so I'll make it a point to look into potential causes, even if I'm unable to repro. Sorry for the trouble, but I'm glad the issues are being found in these early stages. Thanks, as always, for your help and report.

Re: scannerpro

I have a few sample logs that i did on my bench if you want to see them.
Mark,
There was an issue I had that when uploading a whole bin with the AP it would disconnect. Random disconnects on uploads of single entries also happened here and there but would reconnect as soon as you click connect again. You probably have experienced that in your playing but figured I'd let you know.

I just posted in another thread here earlier today - I fixed this issue today. I'll release a new build when I get home from BR (I don't have the official build machine with me). I also got ScannerPro working with 94/95 LT1s. =)

Re: scannerpro

Thanks,
I did see that post but didn't know if it was the same issue you had with the 94/95. Glad you were able to round up some test subjects.
Its always more fun when you get to play with different stuff

Did you get to drive Craig's monster?

I'm in the final stages of tuning my 1991 Firebird SD. If you have that spreadsheet, would you be willing to share it?

Mark, when do you plan on incorporating the auto-tune into ScannerPro?

Auto-tune won't be incorporated into ScannerPro. It will be a TunerPro feature, and it won't show up for a bit, yet. I've got lots of other things ahead of it in the pipe.
