ses and security

Ok so I did the TPI swap On my 91 RS. It has vats on it. I wanted to eliminate it so I bypassed the starter enable relay. I then pulle dmy chip(ANHY) and pulled the bin down to my pc I disabled vats and that is all I did. I put it in and everything was fine. I then wanted to update to the S_AUJP bin but wanted to compare the 2 bins to see how much was different. So I pulled the chip back out of the ecm to get the bin again(hard drive that had it crapped out) I put the chip back in and now i get the ses light and security light on all the time. The car will start but dies out right away WTF? did I fry the ECM or something. I disconnected the battery and grounded myslef . I work with electronics for a living so I know how to handle them. I also work with IC chips regularly so I'm pretty sure I inserted the chip properly. Anyone got any Ideas? HELP!!!

Re: ses and security

Help! Anyone.
I think I'll pull the ecm and look for blown or burn components, and maybe cracked solder joints.
Please anyone with an idea I'd love to hear it.

Re: ses and security

When you first turn the key to the on position (without turning it to crank the engine) the SES light should turn on briefly then blink off then back on once. If not there is likely a problem with your computer.

Re: ses and security

Well i replaced the ECM and still nothing. Any one know how I can test the memcal to see if its any good?
KNow any cars that have a memcal i could use I have a couple junkyards around I can try to source one. I don't have the kind of money I see being asked for these things so I'm kinda screwed here.
