Prom/chip for 730 swap??

I am swapping my 165ecm to the 730 ecm. What prom/chip will work?
Part number would be helpful.
Also looking to buy a Common 24/32 ECM Header connector. Thanks Shane

I would assume that the reason you are doing this swap is to go from MAF to MAP, correct?

AUJP, would be good, or you could use S_AUJP, if you want WBO2 logging, and extended VE tables.

I don't understand what you are meaning by a common header.

Re: Prom/chip for 730 swap??

I am doing it because the 730 is able to tune as you drive and you dont have to take out the prom out to burn it.
What prom would be the best?
The 24-32 pin connector..its what the harness plugs in to the ecm

You can tune the '165 while you drive too, same exact parts are needed, same procedure, just the files are different.

I still don't understand what you mean by, "The 24-32 pin connector..its what the harness plugs in to the ecm."

What harness?

I am talking about this right up... http://www.eecis.udel.edu/~davis/z28/ecm_swap_730/

To tune the 165 ecm you have to take out the chip Right?? and the 730 you don't?? My tuner recommend that i up grade my Ecm, something that is easier to tune, faster and a better ecm for future mods such as Super Charger...

Uh, the '7165 and the '7730 ECM run at the same clock rate. Easier to tune is open to interpretation, and for a supercharger, which one handles boost?

RBob.

*sigh*

Both use the same basic ideas as far as programming.

Both need to have the EPROM removed or use an adaptor.

Re: Prom/chip for 730 swap??

Both ECMs will work, both the '165 and '7730 have been used in many different applications. I'm running a '7749, which is very similar to the '7730 in my Datsun running the Nissan engine. I have for a short period used a '7730 temporarily in place of the '7749 during some testing.

Dynamic EFI makes a daughter board for the '7747 and similar ECMs that upgrades that ECM for better datalogging, and more input and output options.

See the link in RBob's reply.
There is nothing else that is as fully featured or easy to use for your needs.
