injector issues

Hi, i have a 383 in a 87 iroc with a stealth ram. it has 30 pound injectors. I have tunercat and am trying to learn to tune it myself but I cant get it close enough to start trying little things to learn what they do, I was wondering if anyone could help me out and tell me where to get a good base bin that will work ok, and what i should set my injector flow rate to compensate for the big injectors. I not begging for a prom, just wanting some advise on how to get it close. the car has alot of bugs and i need to be able to drive it and work the bugs out so I can take it to the dyno and get it tuned right without having any other problems. Thanks

Re: injector issues

Depending on your build look at arap and aujm sa, you will need to do some data logging to tune in your lv8.

Re: injector issues

you will need to work on your Injector PW correction vs Battery Voltage. but like I said If you are not dataloging your wasting your time. You might want to read the stickies . the arap (sa) is more aggressive aluminum headed l98. Both these .bins will need the vats disabled and fan switch setting changed.

Re: injector issues

I was looking through my old test bins i played around with and by the notes I made the best it ran was with 27lb injector constant, but im going off of my wideband 02 gauge and i know thats not the same as datalogging. I always set my fans to tur on low, stock radiator and it runs warm, thats one of the bugs i need to fix need better radiator, and i know how to disable the vats, I don't really know what to do with the injector pw correction. But ill keep reading the stickies and try to understand it
