Ostrich Help
Just purchased an Ostrich and need some help trying to get it to work.
Steps I am doing. Plug it into my laptop, fire up tunerpro rt, load my xdf and bin in tunerpro, make sure the Ostrich is present and working, upload my tune to the Ostrich and verify it. Using bank 0 as per docs on moates.net. Go to the car and it goes into limp mode. Put the chip in with the exact same tune and it works fine.
I then plugged the Ostrich into my chip burner and did a read, works fine. Next I loaded my tune into the burning program and did a verify, it fails.
What would cause the Ostrich to upload a bin properly AND verify within tunerpro, but the output from the Ostrich to fail? Am I doing the steps properly?

Re: Ostrich Help
Switches are set proper for a 28 pin PROM.
Did another test last night. I loaded bin 1 into the Ostrich and pulled the output then saved it. Next I loaded bin 2 into the Ostrich and pulled the output and saved it. I compared both outputs and they are identical even though the original changed.

Re: Ostrich Help
I finally got the Ostrich to work.
Now a new issue is coming up. Whenever I disconnect my laptop from the Ostrich, it goes into limp mode. I have confirmed that tunerpro is not emulating when I disconnect and I release the hardware in tunerpro.
Do I have to set the mask to AA even if I upload a bin to the Ostrich without emulating it?(thought that was for emulation only.

Re: Ostrich Help
What ECM are you using? I have found that '7747 does not like to power the Ostrich and requires an external power source.
AA is only needed for emulation, you can upload complete bins without disabling checksum without issue.

Using a 7730 ECM. Another thing I found odd was when I went for a drive, the car would 'hiccup' meaning go into limp mode and then come back out. Put in a chip and there are no issues.

Re: Ostrich Help
If the Ostrich is connected to a laptop, even without having Tuner Pro open or emulating, does the problem go away?

Re: Ostrich Help
I can have tunerpro closed and it does the exact same thing(unplugged from laptop it goes into limp mode, plugged in with tunerpro closed it works fine). I have checked the batteries and they appear fine.
