Wideband O2 advice

I am getting close to finishing up my Vortec TPI 350 install in my 86 Caprice Landau. I want to set it up so I can install a Wideband O2 and was wondering if someone could recommend one? I am looking at the Inovate LC-2 set up and was wondering what kit should I buy? I will be using TunerPro and the EBL to tune. Also where is the best place to place to weld in bung for the sensor? I have a set of Edelbrock TES headers on the car running back to a 3 inch Monte Carlo SS style exhaust. Inovate said to not install it in the collector. I could put it into the Y pipe that connects to the Cat convertor if that is satisfactory.
Thanks

Re: Wideband O2 advice

Im running the AEM 30-4110 and its tied into my ECM so I get real time date through TunerPro. Works perfect for me. I have the bung installed in the Ypipe where the cat would normally go. I think you need to enable wideband in the ECM and set up TunerPro so that it will read correctly.

I have always put mine in the downpipes or Ys. Never had an issue.

Re: Wideband O2 advice

I am running innovative digital gauges and I would highly recommend them, seem to be very accurate and I like that I can adjust the display parameters by hooking it up to my computer, and they can be calibrated, seem to be well built as well. I have them mounted in my A-pillar and I chose them for the yellow color of the digits because I didn't want blinding red in my eyes and I am glad I chose them the yellow isn't as distracting while driving. I mounted mine after the Y-pipe right where the cat used to be and clocked it at an upward angle per directions, I heard of people overheating the O2 sensor if they had them too close to collectors so I didn't want that to be an issue.

Re: Wideband O2 advice

I stopped and talked to a friend of mine who builds HotRods and he recommended the Inovate Wideband set ups also. I just need to decide which one I want. The gauge would be handy but since I will be tuning with the EBL and Tunerpro I do not know if it will be needed. I would rather not have any gauges hanging under the dash in this car. I possibly could mount a rectangular gauge in the dash in a spot above the radio if \thad one that would not look out of place. Have to some further research. Thanks for the reply's.

Re: Wideband O2 advice

The Innovate kit I am considering is the 3795DB. It comes with the LC-2 controller a gauge and Bosch LSU-4.9 sensor. This would give me the option of connecting it to The EBL and TunerPro and also a dash gauge if desired. I have found this kit as low as $159.00 on the auction site just do not to know if I want to chance buying there. What do you guys think of this kit?

I bought a similar kit 2 kits ago. Worked great.
Paid $179 from a reputable place. Don't remember where, only the price.

Well I just pulled the trigger on the Innovate 3795DB kit. Found it on Ebay for $183.95 with free two day shipping. Since I have an Amazon Prime Credit card I will get a 5% cashback bonus also. Once I get into tuning this thing I am sure I will have some questions.
