HAVING ALL KINDS OFF PROBLEMS HELP PLEASE!!!!

ok i just put all my gauges in my car. 4 of them to be exact. two mechanical and two electric. i decided to also put a manuel switch in for my fans. everything worked great till i put the switch in for my fans. i cant figure it out. i have no blown fuses but my power locks and my dome lights, plus my radio are not working. WHY???? i cant stand this. i do have all the power wires hooked into the fuse box. there is only one fuse box right and one spot for fuses? i need to know quickly what is wrong i cant stand not having interior lights at night..
thanks

On the right side of your steering column, under the dash beside where the stereo/heater console is.There is a panel that pulls down.It holds your horn relay and stuff like that.
It holds a few fuse's.You may find your problem there.

The panel is right behind the ALDL connector.

The panel behind the ALDL connector is called the "convenience center". It does not have any fuses mounted on it - only relay(s), the hazzard flasher, & the audio indicator. The devices you mentined that are not being powered all run off of the 20 ampere accy fuse, located on the fuse panel. Are you sure it is not blown?

yes i am sure but this is the situation. i have 4 autometer gauges running into the fuse panel would that be to much? they ar run into blank spots. but they have power when the key is turned. i had no problems till i hooked the switch up into the car. but i still cant find any fuses blown. i have to check the back of my clarion cd player to see if there are any there. but that dont explain why the interior lights arent working. any help anyone.??

ok could this have anything to do with a relay? or a sensor somewheres? some one has had to have this problem. please help this is driving me crazy!!! and is there a better way to wire the power to the gauges then putting the the wires into the fuse block? how about eh fan switch? the way i wired that is grounded the fans then jumped both fans together and ran the power wire to teh switch and since the switch has a light to tell me that its on i also ran that into the fuses block. the wire that turns the led on for the switch is what i think is the culprut but now that the damage is done i cant fix what i have done!! help..

Wierd! What year is it & what is it? How many amps is the fuse? Is it a blade type, like the ones used in the fuse panel?

If you are powering the fan motor directly from the fuse panel, a fuse will probably blow. Connect the fan switch to the coil of the fan relay & ground the other side of the switch, or, if you want the fans to be able to run with the ign off, add another fan relay & have the switch control the coil of the new relay.

how exactly did you wire up your fan switch?
knowing this would help me make a better suggestion for you.

There should be 2 fan relays under the hood - one for each of the two cooling fans. If you ground the green / white wire from a fan relay, the fan it controlls will run if the ignition is on.
