Car Died--Need Help!!!
Hi,
I was dropping my buddy off, after seeing the new Star Trek tonight, when my Camaro just died in front of his house.
Kaput.
I have headlights and interior lights but no ignition at all. Not even a click, click. Also, the power locks don't work now.
Does anybody have any idea what part of my electrical circuit has gone haywire? Is it maybe a particular fuse or is it perhaps under the hood?
Any help is appreciated

You may have a bad alternator and the battery final couldn't keep the car running anymore. Just because you light work doesn't mean that you have enough power. Did you try boosting it yet??? If not try boosting it and then disconnect the battery, if the car stalls again, it si a good bet your alternator is bad. Let it run a little before you disconnect the battery though. Or even better if you have a volt metre, then get it started, if you can, and check the voltage. should be around 13.5 volts give or take a .5 volts.

Thanks for the replies guys
I talked to my mechanic today and he thinks that a fuseable link at the starter has cooked.
The car won't crank at all, it won't even make a click when I turn the key. It is dead, dead, dead.
But the battery is fine. The lights are bright as can be. So it HAS to be something on the ignition side of the system, and something that also affects the power door lock system.
If it were the module or coil, wouldn't the car at least turn over?
It is something I've never come across before. Very unique

ahh yes this happend to my camaro about a half a year ago, i pulled in my drive way and the car died on me and wouldnt start, i had lights, but all my power accesories didnt work. it ended up being a fusible link that goes from the starter to the alternator, check it, i bet it is shot
