Brake Light switch question:

Its the white plastic switch that is attached to abrakcet with another white plastic deally that has the orange, blue and yellow wires and another connector that has a black and greyish wire correct? if so, how do i remove it, it seems as though mine has gone bad. Does it just unscrew from that braket where the pedal touches the end with the threads?

its very easy, connect the wires back to it, and test it out to make sure it comes on when ya touch the pedal
to put it back in place just push it

It's located in front of the brake pedal (the brake pedal shaft is what depresses the switch and turns the brake lights off)

This pic is of the one I pulled out of my 87 Formula:
