What are these relays for?

Just like the thread title. These relays are located on the drivers side, near the firewall. Are these for the headlights? All I know is my battery was dead this morning, and when I started charging it, I immedeatly heard a clicking noise coming from these relays. I haven't figured out which one yet, but I'll do that after I finish this post.

Ok, I found the relay, its the one in the pic below. Sorry about attaching the pics. My ISP is throwing a fit again.

Its clicking once every second. On.....Off......On.....Off....it won't stop.

What is this relay for? Can I disconnect it safely and drive? Or is it a vital part of the electrical system.

Well, I guess that would fall under the "Vital part of the electrical system" tag then.

It seems to have stopped by itself when I re-connected the battery ground. Which consequently fixed a lot of my power problems. Now I have some other problems to figure out, but I'll fix them. I have faith.

Actually, once there is oil pressure, the fuel pump will work regardless of the pump relay there or not.

We had the same problem. The relay would click when the battery was connected.

Once we replaced it; the battery STOPPED draining over night, and it seems fine now

Hmmm....sounds like something I need to do then. Do you have a part number? Or is the serial on the face of the relay its part number.

I can get it in the morning, but you can always go to napa--they have a listing of all of the relays, pretty much.

Hmm. Vader, check this pic out of my MAF burn off relay!

I need a new connector, or I need to repin this one after I strip and clean the harness wires. I should probably replace that relay while I'm at it. I need to re-wire this whole interior. I"ve got some FUNKY weird problems. Have you read my posts on "Severe Electrical problems?"
