Code 22 - Relay shorting?

It's been extremely hot in KC this past week.
Monday, the car started throwing a code 22 (Bad TPS or Shorted fuel cutoff relay)
I replaced the TPS with a known good one and cleared the codes.
It came back right away

Where might I find this mystical relay?

The car runs ok, except when I start it after sitting for a long
time or when it starts getting 210+ under the hood. Then it
chugs and I have to give it throttle to keep it from dying.
(I hate rush hour traffic). Runs ok on the highway, but feels
weak

It farts black smoke when I recover from a near-stall for a few
seconds. Not a big cloud, but it's noticible. It backfired once on me
in heavy traffic (you should have seen the pedestrians duck LOL
sounded like a shotgun in an alley)

Any ideas?
I'm assuming the problems are all a result of running extremly
rich.

There is no fuel cut-off relay in your car. Code 22 means Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Circuit (Signal Voltage Low). Check for a short or broken wire on the dark blue wire going to the TPS. Also make sure the holding screws are not too tight on it, this causes binding.

Really? If the screws are too tight it will throw a 22? I tightened them up really good cause i thought it was slipping or something. Also if it is a short it has to be the blue one?

any updates? I have a Code 22: Throttle Position Sensor/TPS voltage low what could be causing it to come back?

Secret Code

The throttle position sensor is loose, internally dirty, defective, or there is a bad connection to it going to the ECM.

Fog lights are not driving lights. They look doofy. Turn em off slow pokes.

How bout those nervous nellies too scared to drive without headlights on in the daytime or if there is a little rain!

it is loose, how do I tighten it? Does it need to be replaced?
