if you know your camaro's wiring, then please help me out

Ok, well a while back my alarm started spazzing out on me, it constantly sounds and so i just disconnected it, then something started blowing my fuse for the instrument panel, and im becoming very impatient with it, i plugged a completely new control module for the alarm in and it did the exact same thing, and i know it isnt the wiring because it was working perfectly two weeks ago. And my guess would be that if it was the wiring, the only exposed wires that could possibly corrode are power, so the alarm would, if anything, just shut off completely. Please help me out, im lost in this situation, and i would GREATLY appreciate any input, thanks

Disconnect the wires from the EGR solenoid, check for signs of arcing and try a new fuse with it disconnected.

There are so many different (and bad/wrong) ways to hook up alarms, it's not even funny. The best thing you can do is get under your dash, and look for any connections that aren't insulated. Things like no tape on a connection, and wires sticking out of connectors. If I were you, I would make sure that all the wires for the alarm are SOLDERED, and not just crimped. I have seen many crimps come loose and one end touch ground. Soldering is the most bulletproof way to go.

Take care,
Matt

i went through as much as i could, and though they arent crimped, they are twisted together with those little caps, im not positive what they are called but it looks good, and the alarm was working for years before now, i have no idea what could have gone wrong

Wire nuts? they connected the wires with wire nuts? If that is what you are saying, then get rid of them, solider the wires and use heat shrink tubing. If they are wire nuts then they have likely corroded inside and are causing your problem, they are NOT for automotive use.

I've even seen people twist bare wires together, without taping or anything and then wonder why they blew a fuse and their radio doesn't work. I guess some people just shouldn't be allowed to modify the vehicle wiring systems

the 725 is a fairly simple, straightforward alarm.the wire nuts are disturbing though ,solderless crimps and/or soldering with heat shrink(tape unravels over time) is the only way to go.the siren needs to be checked,it could have condensation that will lock the output on the alarm brain causing it to not shut off even with remote, try swapping it with a known good siren. you really ought to have the wiring checked professionally ,something happened to cause the fuse and the magic smoke coming out of dash is NEVER a good sign of anything. you said disconnected the alarm, was that unplugging it or cutting wires? a bare end would pop a fuse quickly. the hornet's battery power is red, ign switched power is yellow, the white wire is parking light flash power, the brown wire is siren power, black is ground, green is neg door trigger, blue is hood/trunk neg trigger, orange is grd output for the starter kill, purple is not used for your application,red/white is 2nd channel neg output(DO NOT CONNECT TO POWER!),white/blue is 3rd channel output,black/white is dome supervision(DO NOT CONNECT TO GROUND!).if i missed anything on the main harness, lemme know, the smaller plugs are accessories,2 pin plug with blue and green wires are door lock outputs. all this should be printed on back of alarm brain.email me with any questions.

ok well i went out and bought a new alarm today, and i swapped the brain with the new one, as well as the siren, and it did not stop, so im assuming its in the wiring somewhere now, its not a bad unit or brain. i also tried both of my remotes and the two new ones, again to find nothing different. but i did fix the little guage problem, i have lights and no more blown fuses, just a constantly sounding alarm...
