best way to remove di-electric grease

i have my T/A all torn apart. Before i put the wire harnesses back in, i want to get rid of all the gunk/goo, crud, grease in the connections. What do you reccomend. Also i am in OKINAWA JAPAN, so i need to get backyard type stuff. I may have to mail from the states. thanks much, shawn

I use electrical contact cleaner, Q-tips, and a small acid brush, If the area is large enough to get into, I use a small toothbrush. You could also go to the electrical shop where you are and ask them what they use. You might also be able to sweet talk them out of some.

You can also use brake parts cleaner along with an acid brush.

contact cleaner would be preferred, you can use bracleen too, though i don't know what those other solvents would do to the metal contacts.

Nothing, Brake parts cleaner used to be labeled as "eletrical and brake parts cleaner"

GAK!!!! That will eat the hell out of the plastic, won't hurt the pins, but the housing will turn to goo. (not really but it will soften the plastic)
