Speedometer
I have a 92 RS and the speedometer has stopped working. If the problem with it is the guages themselves then the easy fix would be to get a new guage cluster. My problem with that is finding one as clean as mine and my car only has 52k miles on it. I don't want to have an odometer that says 200k so it looks like I am lying to people. Is it possible just to switch out a circuit board or somthing in the back? Everything else works but the speedometer/odometer just quit. I am fixing up the car now and want this fixed so I am not putting miles on a car without them being on the odometer. Any help would be great. MyThirdGen@aol.com

You need to find out if it's the sending unit or the spdo. If it's the spdo you can just replace that and not the whole cluster. The spdo can be reset to whatever miles you want. At least this is true for the Firebird. Not sure for Camaro.
if you don't know how to use a multimeter to check ac voltage, take the car to the dealership to have it checked out. may just be a speedsensor, or a rat chewed the two wire's coming off the speedsensor. best of luck, tom
