Alarm off a mazda?
My dad brought home an keyless entry sytem w/ alarm and what not for me to put on my camaro. He works at auto-alliance (ford/mazda) in flatrock, MI. It came off a mazda that they wrecked at the plant. Is it possible to wire it up? Im rather new to the whole wiring scene. It is a full harness w/ all sorts connectors. Will i be ale to use this n my car? Will the original conectors work, or will i have to slice new ones in? Any help would be great. Thanks

If you can get a wiring schematic for the alarm and then compare it to the wiring diagrams for our cars you could do it.

Should have been obvious... Don't mind this post... I'm grouchy... My V6 took a major crap on me...
See if you can't get the Mazda (ewww... I hate writing that) wiring harness connectors for the alarm. You can patch the cabling in and disconnect it if needed for sale or something without disturbing the factory harness too much.

No, he means to say that if someone hits the side or a panel of the car (slamming the hood closed is one), the alarm will go off.
