Check this schematic out and see if it helps.

Whoops!!!! Sorry dude, wrong picture.
Here is the right one and no, there does not appear to be anything else in the circuit that could cause the problem.

Sorry Dude,

I put the wrong picture in there the first time. I have corrected that and marked the wiper switch and motor.

I have some more schematics that give a more concise view of the wiring. I have one question, are your wipers pulse or standard?

here is the prob i am almost sure of it if you can't find a dead short then you have a short in the motor itself i know it sounds strange but happends all the time both my other cars had the problem. the only way to fix it is to buy a new motor now keep in mind the fuse is good till you hit the wipers then snap there she blows

update..

well i fixed the problem and i thought i should let you guys know...it was a dead short. when i had everthing in the engine compartment detached from the wiper motor i said what the heck let me see if its still going to blow a fuse so i put one in and it blew right when i turned the car key. this led me to assume the short must be under the dash so i dropped the fuse box to chase the wires and i put another fuse in when the box was down and i saw i spark near the kickpanel, well i looked to the left of the fuse box by the door and there was a large bunch of wires leading to i guess the steering column and what not and it was resting on a metal lip of the body and after 15 yrs it finaaly rubbed through and cut the elctric tape and insulation to a green wire which was causing my grounding out repaired the wire and put rubber over the metal and presto. 10.00 bucks on fuses later my wipers work again. i posted this so anyone who ever has a short like this can look to the same place where gm decided to butt 20 wires up against a metal lip causing a rub through......:lala:
