new foggers

Well...my foglights on the TransAm were pretty rustd out so I wanted to replace them. I went to our local canadian tire and found these All Weather BlazerTech fog lights for 29.99. I decided "meh they look like they will fit so I will buy them.". I get out to my car and looked at the foglight lens and then the lense on the stock foglights and noticed that they are the same engraved pattern. I then took one out and held it up and low and behold...they are the exact same ones that are in there to begin with. I got home, busted out the kneepads and went to work. I installed them and MAN!!what a difference. I pretty much don't need my headlights on to drive now cuz these two foglights throw some serious light.

Here is a pic of the lights that I bought

Seriously man. They are exactly the same as the ones in there only brighter. No modification needed. I even used the newer retaining clips from these ones as they were black and the ones in the transam were a faded blueish grey. At night, they throw some serious light. I could probably drive with just them on and see perfectly fine. Look into them for sure. Easiest foglight install ever. They will even use the stock wiring and the stock foglight button.

    Blazers

I just got a set of Blazer fogs, a little differnt than those in the pic but basically the same. However, they're completely different than the stock setup. I have no idea how to mount them and wire them, everything is different. The Blazer housing just has a screw at the bottom and the stock have a screw at the top and a horizontal bolt at the bottom. I have a 91 bird, should this be different than an 88 trans? Please help!!

How do your stock fogs lock into place? Do they have the two locking brackets, one on each side that hold in using a single screw? Thats how mine were. I have never seen a 1991 so I unfortunately can't answer that. If I get a chance I will take a closeup pic of my front bumper/foglights installed so you can compare.

It(the stock light) has the plastic pieces you describe on each side. But the entire plastic housing is the real problem. It mounts with one screw at the top and a long screw at the bottom going horizontally. The Blazers have the side plastics too, but the housings only have one screw at the bottom going down. Heres a pic of one of my stock lights, maybe that'll explain it better.
