FP Electrical Diagram

Let's try it this way. I need help on electrical diagnosis for something grounding in the fuel pump circuitry.

Does anyone have a schematic containing the fuel pump circut for a 1989 Formula?

I have it for an 89 camaro if you think that will help you.

Actually, yes. Will probably be similar, if not exactly the same. Does it discriminate between TPI/TBI?

Unless you want the schematic for the injectors it doesn't really matter. I have for both.

I know this is an old post, but...

I need this schematic if either of you still have a copy available.

The '87 manual shows the path from the fuse all the way to the pump through the FP relay. I was hoping you might have the same schematic for the '89. In '87 the fuel pump wires went thru C207 (which you so graciously already provided pinouts for)...but '89 did not. I'm trying to make the IP connections as much as I can like the '89 harness to aid in future troubleshooting.

I think I bit off a bit more than I can chew. LOL!

Thanks!

Like I mentioned earlier, I will send you the TPI pin-out for the 87 model later today and you can make your decision on what you want to do based on that schematic. The pin-out that I sent you is just for the LG4 engine.

Yeah, I know it was just for the LG4 and I know you were going to post up the '89 c207 pinouts...I was trying to figure the best way to reroute the FP power so it utilizes the relay like stock. I'm also debating whether it would be easier to get a '89 IP harness and just rewire the car. Its not my daily driver (yet) but it will be and I want it as easy to work on as possible.

Thanks again - sorry for any confusion.

Re: FP Electrical Diagram

You mind if I get a copy of those fuel pump schematics as well?

Whoa, talk about resurrecting an OLD thread.
Long live the undead!!

Here, try this page: http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19
Search for "fuel control" and pick the one for your engine (although this circuit should be identical across engines models).

Hope this helps.
