91 Camaro HEADLIGHT /SIGNAL ISSUE
Everytime it rains here in SOCAL the law says IF YOU HAVE YOUR WINDSHIELD WIPERS ON you have to have your headlights on, and there lies my problem, for some reason everytime I turn on my headlights my winshield wipers dont work and when I signal to my left my left headlights flash back and forth like a police car and are really dim. I have had this problem since I bought the car in november 04', can anyone tell me what I will need to do in order to correct this problem? I know I need to take it to a electrician (auto) but what should I be concerned and expect to hear about the camaros electrical issue?? any comments welcome

sounds like a electrical ground problem..
whats happening is you have a bad ground, so when everything trys to go thru it, it overtaxes the wire, and everything dims with load...
id start with the ground for the headlights....just follow the wires from the lamp, and you should see it.
after that, clean the other grounds.
here are the FULL electrical diagrams for 91 camaros.

download the PDF files and SAVE THEM ON YOUR HARD DRIVE.... they wont be online forever.

find the ground wire for the headlights by looking at the headlight connector and following the black wire until you find the end of it where it screws into the chassis
unscrew it.
clean area and wire connector with sandpaper until its shiny
tighten screw back down.
thats it.

hope that solves your problem..... if its not that ground, then its probly a ground under the dash....
you would do the exact same thing, athough i couldnt tell you where the ground is off the top of my head.... if you look in thoes files i posted, SOMEWHERE in there it should tell ya... (its a book thats over 100 pages of JUST electrical diagrams)

if that one ground is bad, there are probly others too.
go look by your battery, there should be a smaller black wire going to the fender.. just like the headlight one... do the same thing, clean it off...
take off the battery terminals, clean them off the same way...
if you use a pair of pliers, you can push the bolt out, then clean behind the bolt and the bolt itself, then use the pliers to push the bolt back together...
disconnect the NEG ( - ) side first... that way, if your wrench hits the fender or somthing, it doesnt spark.
the dimmed power wouldnt be a fuse.. a fuse either is blown or its not... its VERY rare for it to provide high resistance to a circuit..... given that a bad ground was one prob in your car, i bet theres other corroded electrical connections on the car.
