This thread is for the guys with 90-92 camaros

I have a 1990 Iroc camaro and like a lot of other camaros during this year the tachometer does not work. I have looked all over the internet trying to find a way to fix it or someone that will fix it. I dont want to buy a used tach of ebay or buy a aftermarket tach. Reason why i dont want to buy a used tach is that it will probably go bad or will already be bad. Here are some pics of what the tach looks like out of its case. Does anyone know anyone who can fix these?

I thought about taking an aftermarket tach and cutting out the back of the cluster and custom making it with that. I dont know if it would work but its worth a shot if no one can fix it

There's a thread here on how to fix the 90-92 tachometer. It's pretty long and had a lot of good info.

Just a simple search for "tachometer" in the Electronics section found it right away.

I also have the same problem, I had to put a aftermarket one in. When I am actually at 2K, my stock tack looks like urs lol. Good luck with fixing the stock tach.

I just got mine fixed. It hasn't worked correctly since I got the car. I took my gauge cluster to the chevy dealership my dad works at. The parts manager sent it to a repair shop and they "calabrated my tach" and checked my other guages for $160. It works great now. I checked with a fluke meter and its dead on from idle all the way till my rev limiter kicks in. I'll try to get the name and number of the place that fixed it. by the way my tach would show about twice watever rpms I was running.
