All 4 headlights on all the time? HELP!!!
I have a 1991 chevy camaro RS now but all 4 light stay on all the time
-dim- outside bright inside lights dim
-bright- outside dim inside lights bright
I got pulled over (thought i had my brights on) for this just wondering what to do to fix or if it would pass inspection like this?

Check the grounds for the headlights. They should be some where near the lights. Also check the body ground off of the battery. Mike

My dads Chevy Celebrity did that. As 83z28 said...check your grounds. Also, the your high-beam switch might have gone bad (as on my dads car). What's happening is your switch is sending the wrong signal to the lights. So either it's getting a bad signal...or it's giving one.

No, you most definitely don't want them all on all the time. When you click your high beams...in a 4-headlight car, the "high beams" come on and the low beams remain on low (at least that's how it works on my sisters Grand Am). In a 2-headlight car, when you click the highbeams...the high beams come on...fog lights are totally different. Also, make sure you know your state laws regarding fog lights. The Police sometimes are very picky about when they like to see them on.

All 4 headlights on means that your high beams are on. That might be ok during a bright sunny day but once it gets dark, you'll be blinding other drivers.
Our headlights consist of one pair of high-beam lights (innner) and one pair of low/high-beam dual-filament lights (outer). With low beams, only the outside lights are on. With high-beams, the outside lights are switched to the other filament and the extra pair of inner lights comes on.
Hope this helps.
