A Weird Problem

When I turn my headlights on, my right running light doesn't turn on. But, when I turn the right turn signal on it works. These are the two orange lights in between my headlights, and they operate as running lights and my turn signals. Just wanted to cut to the chase, and any replys would be appreciated.

Re: A Weird Problem

It sounds like you could have lost grounding to that lamp.
Just a guess, w/o having looked at a diagram or anything.

Re: A Weird Problem

sounds like this lamp is controlled from two different place one being turn signal switch and flasher and head light switch. obviously the switches are working but you will need to find the relay for the running lights and make sure all connections inside the relay are working along with the wires in the relay connector. problem maybe relay but more than likely the wire from the relay connector to the lamp or the wire in the connector that should be hot all the time

Re: A Weird Problem

Have you replaced the bulb? I'm 90% sure that those are double filament bulbs, meaning there is a filament for each function, running/parking lights and turn signals.

Re: A Weird Problem

Its likely a short in the wiring somewhere. I posted a similar issue I had with my old '86 Firebird, couldn't find it. Mother Nature showed me the source tho.

Re: A Weird Problem

I pulled the bulb on my passenger side front running light and both filaments are good. Thinking it's in the wiring now.......?
