headlights won't come up until I hit a bump
I'm not sure if this issue is in the switch or the headlight units. Sometimes when I turn on the headlights, they don't pop up until I hit a bump in the road and jar something loose. Any ideas?

I can vouch for Lon's headlight repair kit. Fixed my driver's side headlight with NO problems. Great product. I've never met the guy, but he knows what he's talking about.

Re: headlights won't come up until I hit a bump
This might be actually an electrical problem, not mechanical.
Sounds like loose wiring or components.
The healight motors are controlled by a "black box" on the firewall, right by the windwhield wiper motor. Also, each headlight has another separate relay (usually close to the headlight). I'd check those out. Turn on the headlights and if they don't pop up, give the black box and relays a whack or wiggle the wires. If it corrects the problem, it's a bad connection.
Hope this helps.

Yep. If it is the control box, and most likely it is, the lights will come up after hitting a bump. I've been through that before.
If your lights won't come up, pop the hood, and tap on it the motor control box on the firewall. It they pop right up, it's the control box. I swapped mine out after going through this, then rebuilt my first one as a spare.

Problem: Headlights won't go down. Solution: blown tail light fuse.
