Gauges Wireing HELP!!

when I bought the car it had a painless wireing kit put in but whoever wired it obviously did not know what was going on so after rewireing the thing again I have an issue with the gauges the right half of the instrument cluster backlighting is dead and tach, oil and volts work untill I turn on the headlights then the tach, oil, and volts go dead?? anyone have the instrument cluster pinning for an 86?? any help is appreaciated

Also to clairify when headlights come on and gauges go dead they drop to min reading, excpt the tach it freezes where it is

Almost sounds like a short. I would recheck the illumination and ground wiresfor the cluster. Are you using any of the factry wiring or is it all through painless?

everything is painless except wires comming down from steering whell horn, turn sig etc.

I would look at your wiring for those gauges. you may have something backwards.

just came went thru them again (4th time) everything one by one everything appears to be where its suppost to something still not right.... Its probally right in front of me I just can see it

Found it bad spot on the printed circut

Fixed it Everything works
