wiper motor question

ok so a few weeks ago i noticed my windshield wiper wasn't working right (it would wiper 1/2 way). so i took it off to see if i could see what was wrong. i saw that the black plastic looking screw (holds that blue plastic piece and the circuit board together) was all messed up so i went to lowes to look for a replacement but couldn't find one so i ended up getting a new wiper. well the problem i have is that when i took it out, it didn't have that plastic housing with the circuit board and all that, all i saw was a gear with glue stuff on it. Isn't it supposed to come with everything or did i get ****ed... thanks for you your help.

Re: wiper motor question

no your supposed to use your old stuff though if its an earlier year that electronic stuff is included with the washer pump if you really wanted it to be new.

Re: wiper motor question

What year is it? Is it the standard system (just off low and high) or does it have all the optional delay/variable speed control?

I just did the same thing, the circuit board is for our intermittent wipers and washer pump. I looked every where for a replacement and the only place I found one was on Ebay for 99.00. With out it you will just have high speed for wipers and no washer pump

Re: wiper motor question

Maybe you can do me a favor, which side of the pump is connected to the washer fluid container, firewall side or engine side
Thanks
