Tachometer Help

Okay, I did the tachometer fix and it set the tach so when I turn my car on its a little below Zero...where as it use to be around 6000.......The problem is the tach doesn't move at all. Even before the fix the tach would never move from that one spot (6000 RPM). Any ideas on what is wrong?? I will try to get pics of the tach up tomorrow but I would really appreciate it if I got some input

Re: Tachometer Help

Mine is doing the same after a carb swap, I have tried everything I could find info on about this issue. Today I pulled the instrument panel and wiggled it in and out while the car was running. It seemed to move the tach some, I am thinking maybe the connectors are not making a solid connection. I will try and bend the copper tabs and let you know if that helps.

Re: Tachometer Help

Well I tried bending the copper tabs on the plug from the harness, where the instrument panel plugs in today. I got them bent enough for a better connection, but that did not help either. I will keep searching.
