Im with matt. Especially seeing the taped splice in the wire behind where the rear seat would be. Also the blue wire which is common for amp remote control.

Re: mistery wire any thoughts?

have you tried tracing it to see where it may lead or end? Running across the floor like like that more than likely its for an aftermarket something or other. Find out if its "hot" then see if its a fused line, you could use this in you favor for just about anything.

Re: mistery wire any thoughts?

well i know the blue wire was an amp wire thats been removed but this one i dunno it looked like it was headed in the direction of the center console and since i wasn't going that far forward i couldn't find the end i was hoping that where it was spliced might have been an indicator but if its not stock then i dunno gonna have to find my multimeter and check for power

Re: mistery wire any thoughts?

I'm going with old amp wiring as long as it wasn't connected to anything at the back of the car.

Also for Camaroflo; 1.) Don't hijack other peoples threads 2.) learn how to spell

Re: mistery wire any thoughts?

Looking at the pics you posted I was figuring as much since you can see speaker wire laying next to it. I just finished removing the amp power wire from my IROC and I will give the PO credit he did a hell of a job routing it LOL! It took me the better part of an hour to remove it and I ended up cutting it under the dash just so I wouldn't have to pull all 20 feet of it through the firewall.
