Dimmer switch

I will have to put in another dimmer switch, third one in 3 years.
This one just quit on me while driving at night, I didn't use the switch, the headlights just went out. I switched to high beam and they came back on but now I can't trust it after dark.
Where can I get a switch that I can trust?

Re: Dimmer switch

are you sure the dimmer switch is the problem? Is it possible your low beam wire has an intermittent grounding problem somewhere in the harness and causing a short?I would use an ac delco oem switch
