firebird headlights to Camaro wiring

I can't believe this hasn't came up yet but I searched and found nothing

I am putting a firebird front end on a Camaro (I don't care if think it a bad idea that's not what this post is about.) I need help wiring the headlight motors I want to use the stock Camaro light switch.

I have a donor firebird I have already swapped over the light and power wiring harness. The firebird harness had two extra wires so I also swapped those on the inside (Camaro) harness but I don't know where those two go or what is supposed to go through them

Again I am asking how to wire it up so Ican use the stock light switch

The firebird switch appears to control one more 'relay'? Than the Camaro switch is that inside the actual switch

No but they are satisfying my curiosity. It is also bumping this thread so that maybe, you will no longer be ignored as you have been in your search.

Re: firebird headlights to Camaro wiring

I've wanted a cross breed for a while and I picked up a Camaro body for practically free and then I got a really good deal on a firebird body (too bad it was a 5.7 GTA) now I'm pretty much putting them together
And I am going with a post apocalyptic theme on it as well with a couple surprises thrown in.

Re: firebird headlights to Camaro wiring

You need to add a couple of pins to the dash side of the C100... Same issue I'm running into (other than finding a hood, passenger's fender, and decent bumper support for the front). I believe one pin is A4 (red wire, power to the module), and I'd have to look up the other couple of pins.

Probably easiest to just get a Bird harness and use that... While you're at it, upgrade the harness so that the headlights are run off of relays straight from either the positive battery terminal or the junction block... Enables HID lamps later.

:edit: Anyone who asks... I paid half as much for the 91-92 Bird parts (headlight parts, bumper covers and brackets, ground effects) as I did for the 88 with all of the parts inside of it. No sense in throwing them out (plus I just happen to like the Bird front and the narrower Camaro tail).

Re: firebird headlights to Camaro wiring

I had already added those pins to the c100 my problem was where they go from there, but I figured it out last night. The yellow one goes to the yellow one on the switch, the a white ones a little more involved as you have to wire a relay so that when the yellow one is powered the white one is grounded and visa versa. Now my lights go up and down with the Camaro light switch!
