vats problem

ok i own a 91 camaro with a 305 and im having a very bad vats problem. ive tried adding the resiotors and that does not stop the problem at all. im pretty sure the module is ruined because the only way to get it to start is i have to wait 4 mins after i turn the key and then turn the key agian and then it will start. but that is only during the day at night it will not start at all. i have tried taking the battery off and letting it reset and nothing seems to work. i need to bypass this system any help would be great.

Re: vats problem

Only way to do a full VATS bypass is to get a new memcal ( prom ) for the computer with VATS deleted
http://pcmforless.com/index.php?opti...=109&Itemid=29

or wire in one of these to give the fuel enable signal to the computer
http://www.bakerelectronix.com/products_vats/
(Can be found as low as $15 on that auction site)

Both ways require you to bypass the starter relay

Doesn't do anything , if the module doesn't read the key right 1st time it will automatically give 4 min delay
Everytime you turn the key it restarts the 4 timer again

works

Bear in mind that only bypasses the starter part of VATS.
If your VATS module is faulty the engine will still not start because computer will not be getting the fuel enable signal
from the module so the injectors will work
