Yes there is a way but you have to take the door apart. Might as well get a motor while you are at it.

If it won't budge with the switch activated you could try bypassing the switch to make sure the motor has actually failed. The motor typically gets slower over time, while a switch is more likely to suddenly die, so if it is the motor, you should be able to get it back up with a little help.
There's a huge thread on swapping the window motor that might be worth a read, and yes, watch out for the spring if you do decide to get into it that far.

Re: Move a dead window?
hmm this spring you guys speak of?
and yea it started slowing randomly one day and it stopped half way then i id leave it for a minute then it would work again and now it doesn't work at all...ill try and trouble shoot the switch though if you say the window should be able to budge cause i try and pull it up and it doesn't budge at all!

You're welcome. I guess if it was slowing down over time like you're describing, it sounds more like the motor.

Cause i bought the new motor and pluged it in b4 i drilled out the old one and it didnt work then i checked the switch and made sure it was secure then it worked and so did the old motor but it stopped ...any idea mayb i should just change the motor anyway but i jus dont want the same problem worth the new

Re: Move a dead window?
Intermittent failure just means that it hasn't completely died yet. They often work, don't work, work, don't work, before they finally give up and fail completely. ( VERY common )
Don't trick yourself into leaving it alone, It will need to be replaced - sooner than later.

Electric motors don't "heal" themselves somehow after they wear out.
Once they wear out, they're ... wore out.As CHEEEEEEEEEEEEP as those motors are, there's no point in TOUCHING it, unless you have a new one in your hand. Too cheeeeep to even worry about it so don't bother beating us over the head about "budget".

Re: Move a dead window?
This sounds like it could be a problem with the switch. There's quite a bit of current running through that switch. The switch could test good, yet the switch might not deliver full power to run the window.
This was my experience when I assumed the problem was the motor, bought a new one, plugged it in and it also ran intermittently. I disassembled the switch, cleaned all the contacts real good, and now the old motor runs great.
