Hey everyone! I am in Michigan and I recently picked up my new Camaro. I am trying to pick the best alarm possible for it. I know these cars are really easy to steal, and I would like to take my car into work at least once a week (I work in Detroit).
What alarm would you guys suggest and where would you get it installed? Also a plus would be keyless entry.
Viper alarms are one of the best on the planet .They have from alarm sensors to GPS tracking ,remote starter ,remote everything from remote control or from your smartphone to glass sensors to sensors for false alarms ,even hidden cameras....you turn your car into a SciFi bunker
problem with them is that they get damn expensive if you start adding options.

why so secret?A good alarm won't be disabled by a person who has a remote control from the same model.I'm pretty sure if you want to go crazy in this you can add finger print verification and stuffs like that...Fort Knox will be a joke compared to your car

Multiple disable points are key. If you wire them creatively, you can create cascading failure points. Independent power source(s). Taking the time to disguise the installation and locate things in non-obvious locations is important too.
Shops that specialize in Audio and alarm systems usually have a brand of alarm they prefer to use.
They come with lifetime warrantees for the car they are installed in and the persion that had it installed. They are none transferable.
Pick a shop with a good reputation and tell them what you want.
They don't let you just pick an alarm and bring it in to have it installed,
and if they did there would be no warrantee.
Find out what they use and start your investigation with the alarms reviews on Amazon.com.
Just go to Amozon.com and type in the name and model # and hit search.
Several of them will come up for sale and next to them it will say "reviews".
Some products have large numbers of people reviewing it and it is a good way to make up your mind as to if you want it in your car.
